Navigation and Messaging Platform

The Logic IO Navigation and Messaging Platform (NMP) is a powerful and open platform for implementation of state-of the-art advanced fleet management applications integrating navigation, messaging, driver identification and job dispatch capabilities.
The NMP platform works on almost any Microsoft Windows CE 5.0
based device and is based on the market leading Sygic navigation engine tightly integrated into the powerful RTCU concept.

The Logic IO Navigation and Messaging Platform (NMP) is fully backward compatible with already developed RTCU applications utilizing the Garmin FMI interface but extends the functionality to a new level of power and flexibility. A number of user defined on-screen keys can be defined and controlled in almost any way and additionally the Mobile Data Terminal (MDT-200) API is fully supported, thus opening up for a new level of customized user interaction.

The key features of the Navigation and Messaging Platform:

  •  Based on Sygic navigation engine under Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 (or later).
  •  Versatile range of devices supported (large screens, ruggedized, etc).
  •  Fully compatible with the Garmin FMI level 2 API.
  •  Fully compatible with the Mobile Data Terminal API.
  •  User defined on-screen keys. Size, color, flashing, visibility, etc. can be controlled.
  •  Single GPS source with data from the RTCU device.
  •  Custom device logo and waypoints icons.
  •  Customer language and unicode support.
  •  Remote upgrade and configuration capabilities.
  •  Open architecture allowing specialized functionality to be added.
  •  Full RTCU IDE Simulator support for rapid development and demonstration.
  •  Supported by the RTCU MX2i pro/pro+, RTCU CX1 pro, RTCU CX1 flex and RTCU SX1.

To connect the RTCU unit to the NMP device, a special interface box/cable is required. It is also possible to connect the NMP device to the RTCU IDE Simulator, thus allowing rapid development of complete fleet management and messaging applications within the RTCU IDE environment.

For detailed information about the NMP interface, please consult the RTCU IDE on-line help or manual.

For a complete solution with a professional ruggedized navigation device with interface cables, etc. and the NMP software pre-installed ready to use, please see the PNM-100 product
here.

For additional information please see the NMP Datasheet and NMP User Guide, or visit the NMP product page here.
