The SDK complements RTCU application development by allowing deeper customization at Linux system level through Platform Extensions. The published package includes working extension examples and a dedicated reference manual.
This is an advanced development pathway requiring C and Linux system experience. Consult the manual and your exact device requirements before selecting an SDK version.
Version-specific features and requirements
SDK 2.00 adds C++ support, a module/program licensing scheme, VPL callbacks and an enhanced network API. Supported libraries include D-Bus, Paho and Mosquitto MQTT clients, JSON libraries, Libcurl, OpenSSL and SQLite.
SDK 2.00 requires System-Firmware V1.08.00 or later. SDK 1.20 requires Runtime-Firmware V1.62.00 or later. Use the requirements for your SDK version.
