Connect locally or through the Hub
The Communication Support Package is the communication layer used by RTCU M2M Studio, the classic RTCU IDE and the RTCU Programming Tool. It can also be integrated into user-written applications.
- Direct serial-cable connections or remote communication through the RTCU Communication Hub.
- Application and firmware transfer using cable, CSD data call or FOTA through the Hub, where supported by the installation.
- Multiple simultaneous device sessions using a combination of local and remote connections.

Use the matching technical references
The separate Communication Protocol Documentation Set describes serial-line and Hub communication. It contains the RTCU Gateway Protocol V3.01, Serial Line Remote Access Protocol V2.20 and RACP Transaction Specification V1.40. The published ZIP is password-protected; the Downloads entry provides the support contact for the unzip password.
Background transfer does not imply uninterrupted operation through activation or restart. Apply the documented update sequence and requirements for the target device and application.
